Service Description
This full day workshop is ideal for a beginner who has perhaps made a couple of garments. The workshop and the pattern are both in English. The workshop is for a maximum of two people so I can guide you through the dressmaking process at your own pace. You will learn how to construct this 1950's inspired dress which features a fitted bodice and full circle skirt. The style is suitable for all body types due to it's flattering cut which nips in at the waist and then flares out creates a beautiful silhouette. Sizes 6 to 20 (UK) The fee includes the sewing pattern (which is yours to take home), use of a sewing machine (per student) and all sewing notions. Fabric to use for the dress is not included in the fee - it is available to purchase before the workshop commences from my shop or you can bring your own, I recommend a light to medium weight cotton or a lawn cotton without a strong one-way directional pattern due to the full skirt. The workshop and the pattern are both in English. Lunch is not provided but you are more than welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in our grounds or indoors, alternatively Lembeye is 10 minutes away by car and has restaurants, a boulangerie and supermarket. The scheduled time is 9h30-12h00 and 13h00-18h00 but if you need extra time this can be arranged Images from Sew Over It
