Liesel & Co Montauk Trousers workshop

Service Description

This workshop is a great beginners class, ideal for a complete beginner or someone who has used a sewing machine for projects like cushions. These simple, semi fitted drawstring trousers with front pockets and patch pockets on the rear are a great introduction to dressmaking. Make them using linen or light weight cotton and they will soon be your made by me staple for the summer months. This workshop will introduce you to pattern cutting, elasticated waistbands and pockets. The paper pattern is yours to take home, so you'll be able to further develop your new found skills at home with the alternative welt pocket view it has to offer for when you are feeling ready for the next challenge. The fee includes the use of a sewing machine (one per student)and a paper pattern from Liesel & Co. All notions are provided. Fabric is not included, you can purchase this before the workshop commences or bring your own suitable fabric, I recommend a linen or light weight dressmaking/quilting cotton, please message me to discuss the length of fabric required if using your own. The workshop and the pattern are both in English. Lunch is not provided but you are more than welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in our grounds or indoors, alternatively Lembeye is 10 minutes away by car and has restaurants, a boulangerie and supermarket. image credit oliverands.com
